Description

Nestled in the west of Saltash, Tincombe Park offers more than six hectares of rich, natural terrain for visitors to explore and enjoy. The park features open meadows, wood‑glades, a gently flowing stream and dedicated wetland zones—creating a peaceful sanctuary for walkers, nature lovers, dog‑owners and families alike.

Historic traces add to the park’s charm: the old quarry that once supplied blue elvan stone lies within its bounds, quietly reminding visitors of the area’s industrial past.

In 2010 the local apple‑project planted a community orchard on the south‑facing slope, reviving the orchard‑heritage of the land. Additionally, a dedicated group of volunteers known as the Friends of Tincombe work to maintain and enhance the site—recent upgrades have included more accessible pathways, new picnic areas and event‑spaces, culminating in the annual Tea Party celebration each summer.
