Halton Quay is a small disused quay with peaceful views of the Tamar River.
The quay features the tiny Anglican chapel of St Indract. This small chapel was originally a clerk’s office, when cargoes were landed by barge, but has been leased to the church since 1956. A board on the wall tells of the landing near here in 689AD of St Indract and his sister, St Dominica, of Irish royal birth.
Halton Quay is a lovely place to fish, enjoy nature or take a swim in the river Tamar.
